Broadway Tech Accelerator, Help Fuel Innovation (Part 2)
3/28/19
Last week, we wrote about the just-announced Broadway Tech Accelerator and delved into what an accelerator generally is. Now let’s talk about how Broadway Tech will work and how the industry can get involved in this new initiative.
Broadway Tech is a 13-week program for “pre-seed,” “seed,” and “series A” startups that are ready to expand into the U.S. live entertainment market. Although it’s NYC-based, companies from all over the world are eligible if they have a working product and preferably, some traction in the marketplace.
Focused on propelling live entertainment forward, areas of interest include, but are not limited to, patron experience, cyber security, physical security, marketing, distribution, ticketing, augmented and virtual reality, collaboration software, and efficiency platforms.
Approved startups get a cash investment, access to resources, curriculum, live pilot program environments (Broadway theatres, ticketing systems, databases), and access to a network of professionals committed to building on the forward momentum this industry is currently enjoying.
So how can the Broadway industry can get involved?
